You've solved the hard problems. Now put that skill where it shows: in the hands of gifted students who can compete, qualify, and win. GT School is built for families who want more than "good grades." We train gifted learners through real stakes: national and international competitions, public results, and achievements students can carry forward. This role exists because our math program only works when students leave sessions sharper, braver, and ready for contest conditions. This is not a generic tutoring seat. You will run live virtual workshops that stretch top kids, coach targeted contest prep for events like AMC and AIME, and build reusable materials that raise the bar across GT Anywhere and GT campuses. If you like turning raw talent into measurable outcomes and you can teach advanced ideas with clarity, you will thrive here. If you have a real record of math excellence and you want to help create the next wave of champions, we would like to meet you.
What you will be doing: - Design and deliver 2–4 live virtual domain workshops each week that build competition-level reasoning - Coach students 1:1 or in small groups for specific contests using mock tests, timed drills, and detailed review - Diagnose gaps fast and create personalized improvement plans tied to each student's goals and upcoming competitions - Track progress using a clear math development framework and adjust instruction based on evidence - Create original, rigorous problem sets and modular lesson materials that other educators can reuse at scale
What you will NOT be doing: - Run generic homework help or grade-chasing tutoring without clear, measurable outcomes - Teach routine classroom-style lessons that stop at the standard curriculum - Deliver unstructured problem practice with no plan, no feedback loop, and no contest pathway - Use copied or low-rigor materials that do not meet competitive math standards
Key responsibilities: This role exists so gifted students consistently achieve measurable, competition-level math results that GT School can celebrate and families can trust.
- Proven elite mathematical achievement (e.g., Olympiad medal, AIME qualification, top national ranking, or equivalent verifiable record) - At least 6 months of teaching, coaching, or mentoring experience with clear outcomes - Ability to explain advanced math in a simple, intuitive way to gifted young learners - Deep understanding of math contest formats, topics, and preparation strategy (e.g., AMC, AIME, Olympiads) - Strong virtual teaching presence and ability to engage students over video - Commitment to 5–10 hours per week - Reliable internet and a professional video setup
Nice to have: - Recent, active involvement as a competitor, coach, or competition-focused content creator - Experience building reusable lesson libraries, problem sets, or curricula for other instructors to use - Student success stories such as qualifications, rankings, medals, or other recognized competition outcomes
