The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training and internal pay comparison. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Position Type Full-Time/Regular
The Lead Teacher role has the primary responsibility of ensuring the safety and well-being of all the children in their classroom. In addition, the Lead Teachers role is to support the mission and philosophy of the Center, provide a nurturing, consistent, developmentally appropriate environment that meets the cognitive, emotional, social and physical needs of young children, develop and maintain family relationships, collaborate with co-teaching team, and take part in continuous professional development. The Lead Teacher must abide by all EEC licensing standards, and all policies and procedures.
Required Skills
Lead Teacher Certified by MA Department of Early Education and Care (EEC).
Bachelor's degree or Associates degree in child development, early childhood education, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in an early childhood setting.
Strong interpersonal skills: ability to work cooperatively and communicate well with others.
Reliable and conscientious.
Computer skills (MS Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook, Kaymbu, COR Advantage).
Willingness to increase knowledge in the field.
Certificate of CPR and first aid training (recommended).
Organized, ability to multitask.
Ability to work independently.
Attentive to confidentiality of records and other information.
