Job Description:

These are grant-funded positions.
Afterschool Teachers plan and implement activities during the afterschool program, which may be in person or in a remote/virtual format. They develop lesson plans using Common Core Math and Literacy standards. They collect and review relevant Math and Literacy assessment data. They act as a liaison between the school day and afterschool programs to assure alignment with school day curriculum. These positions fulfill the certified teacher requirement for the grantor.
These positions pay $19.00 per hour and can work up to 14 hours per week (including planning time), depending on site needs and applicant availability. Successful applicants will work with site supervisors to arrange a weekly schedule.
Minimum Qualifications:
Valid Ohio teaching license (must upload to application)
High School diploma or GED (must upload to application)
Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field
Successful applicants must also pass a new Ohio Department of Job and Family Services compliant background check, and complete a physical exam provided by their physician. Costs for these requirements are up to the applicant.
