Supervisor of Single Subject Teacher Education in Mathematics
For the 2023-2024 academic year, the School of Education may have a need for a temporary, part time supervisor for single subject mathematics candidates in its single subject teacher credential program. The supervisor is responsible for observing and providing feedback to candidates in fieldwork at secondary schools and attending professional development and faculty meetings. Must have own transportation and be available to visit schools throughout Orange County to observe candidates during school day hours. Most supervisor positions require a 2 or 3 consecutive quarter commitment.
Service Period Dates for 2023-2024 Academic Year: Fall Quarter: 9/25/23 - 12/15/23 Winter Quarter: 1/3/24 - 3/22/24 Spring Quarter: 3/27/24 - 6/14/24
Minimum Qualifications: California single subject teaching credential in mathematics. Experience as a mathematics teacher in a secondary school. Relevant experience may be considered.
Desired Qualifications: A master's degree in education or relevant content area. Experience mentoring or teaching pre-service teachers. Experience teaching more than one content area/grade level in mathematics. Experience navigating online platforms and tools.
Salary:
Annual full-time salaries will begin at a base rate of $64,329. The salary range is $64,329-$181,015 annually. Part-time salaries will be a percentage of this amount, based on the assigned workload. Annual part-time salaries for supervisors will be based on educational background.

Evidence of Teaching Effectiveness Must include: Student Evaluations of Teaching AND Other evidence which may include course syllabi, teaching statement, teaching awards, etc)
