The Department of Teacher Education, Secondary Education Program, in the College of Education, invites expressions of interest for part-time faculty teaching opportunities, for the 2019-2020Academic Year. Part-time teaching positions are available throughout the academic year, including summer sessions. Applicants with expertise that matches course scheduling needs will be contacted for an interview. Academic course schedules fluctuate from quarter to quarter and selected individuals will work with program faculty to determine a quarterly schedule. Courses are not guaranteed; however, the Department does its best to give ample notice about available courses and potential course cancellations. The Secondary Education Program seeks applicants with expertise and experience in the following areas:
Secondary Education Generalist
Secondary English Language Arts Methods
Secondary Math Methods
Secondary Science Methods
Secondary History or Social Sciences
Secondary Assessment
Content Area Literacy
The Supplemental Questions pertain to applicants' expertise in Secondary Education.
Required Qualifications: Applicants must have a Master's degree. Some courses may require a Doctorate degree. Applicants for Teacher Education methods courses must have minimum of 5 years of experience at the level of licensure.
The candidate must have demonstrated experience in working in teaching in an diverse learning environment.
