The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Michigan State University invites applications for two Teaching Specialists. These Academic Specialists are non-tenure track, fixed-term, full-time teaching positions, renewable each year according to performance and budget. These positions are academic year (9-month) appointments. Additional opportunities may exist for summer salary compensation.
Candidates should be able to teach a variety of courses in Computer Science. The successful candidates will join a motivated team with a record of accomplishment in innovative course development, delivery and assessment. Those interested in research in pedagogy are especially encouraged to apply. The responsibilities for this position include teaching and development of undergraduate courses, as well as training and supervision of graduate teaching assistants, undergraduate learning assistants, and coordinating laboratory sections.
