Position Summary
The Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science at Michigan State University is seeking a part-time teaching specialist to teach/co-teach courses in chemical engineering in the Fall 2021 and Spring 2022 semesters. The position may be extended beyond this coming academic year depending on performance and availability of funds. Courses to be taught may include classroom or laboratory sections in chemical engineering based on Department needs. The desired starting date is August 16, 2021. Candidates are expected to demonstrate the ability to teach chemical engineering classes and laboratories at the advanced undergraduate and graduate levels. A strong academic background in chemical engineering practice is an asset for candidates.

Required Degree
Doctorate -Chemical Engineering
Minimum Requirements
Applicants should have a PhD in chemical engineering. A commitment to excellence in teaching is required.
Desired Qualifications
Strong candidates will have demonstrated academic instructional experience with deep understanding of chemical engineering principles.
