Members to NAGC can receive three publications -- Parenting for Gifted Children, Teaching for High Potential, and the academic journal, Gifted Child Quarterly. All are available through the mail and online.
The Teacher Certification Specialist assist in all activities involving teacher certification and recertification for all ALSDE-approved teacher certification programs in the School of Education.
Advises students and monitor standards for admission to educator preparation programs. Process timely documents, assuring quality of student records and dissemination of information to concerned parties and for assuring adherence to State of Alabama Teacher Certification policies and procedures.
Annual Salary Range: $37,345.00 - $45,000.00
Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Education or related field and one (1) year related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) policies governing Educator Preparation Programs and educator certification.
