Members to NAGC can receive three publications -- Parenting for Gifted Children, Teaching for High Potential, and the academic journal, Gifted Child Quarterly. All are available through the mail and online.
Appointment Type: Academic Staff-Fixed Term Renewable
The primary responsibility of the position is to provide care for children in a child-initiated, teacher-directed and developmentally appropriate environment. This position is responsible for planning and facilitating developmentally appropriate activities as part of a comprehensive program for children's physical, cognitive, emotional and social growth. This position also requires supervising student staff and observation students from UW-River Falls and other local agencies of education. This is a 12-month appointment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Registry Certificate of a level 12 or higher or eligibility to register at level 12
Two years' experience working with toddlers
Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff
Ability to provide leadership within a team-teaching model
Physical ability to lift 50 pounds
Ability to successfully pass a post-offer employment test
Knowledge of YoungStar Quality Rating System, Department of Children and Families Division of Early Care and Education (DCF 251), and Cognia Accreditation
