Members to NAGC can receive three publications -- Parenting for Gifted Children, Teaching for High Potential, and the academic journal, Gifted Child Quarterly. All are available through the mail and online.
Drake University Head Start, a comprehensive early childhood program, is seeking a professional candidate to join their team in a new position serving as a full time substitute supporting teachers, teacher associates, and children in daily activities in the classroom. This individual will participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of a developmentally appropriate early childhood curriculum and practice. This position will consist of light cooking, assisting the teacher or teacher associate, and working directly with children. Some time spent completing paperwork. This position may include completing home visits for the Head Start and Early Head Start programs. This position will involve travel within a six county service area (Boone, Story, Jasper, Marion, Polk and Warren counties). Therefore, the successful candidate must have a valid drivers license and must meet the insurability criteria to drive on behalf of the University. This is a full time position that typically works August through May.
