Members to NAGC can receive three publications -- Parenting for Gifted Children, Teaching for High Potential, and the academic journal, Gifted Child Quarterly. All are available through the mail and online.
Supervisor of Single Subject Teacher Education Social Science
For the 2021-2022 academic year, the School of Education needs a temporary, part time supervisor for single subject social science candidates in its credential program. The supervisor is responsible for observing and providing feedback to candidates in fieldwork and student teaching at secondary schools in Orange County and attending professional development and faculty meetings. Must have own transportation and be available to visit schools throughout Orange County to observe candidates during school day hours. Most supervisor positions require a 3 consecutive quarter commitment.
Service Period Dates for 2021-2022 Academic Year: Fall Quarter: 9/20/21- 12/10/21 Winter Quarter: 1/3/22 - 3/18/22 Spring Quarter: 3/23/22 - 6/10/22
Minimum Qualifications: California single subject teaching credential in social sciences. Experience as a social science teacher in a secondary school. Relevant experience may be considered.
Desired Qualifications: A master's degree in education or relevant content area. Experience mentoring or teaching pre-service or novice teachers. Experience navigating online platforms and tools.
Annual full-time salaries will begin at a base rate of $56,945.
