Members to NAGC can receive three publications -- Parenting for Gifted Children, Teaching for High Potential, and the academic journal, Gifted Child Quarterly. All are available through the mail and online.
Your contribution to NAGC supports various programs that advance the needs of gifted children. You can contribute to the area of greatest need or to a single program.
The Rockefeller University seeks a Teacher, Infant/Toddler to join Child and Family Center. In cooperation with the Head Teacher and other team members, the Teacher is responsible for planning and executing activities and developmentally appropriate learning opportunities in a safe and healthy learning environment. The Rockefeller University Child and Family Center (CFC) is a progressive early child care provider and preschool and the Teacher will be familiar with this type of approach. Responsibilities include setting an organizational and emotional tone for the room that is responsive to the community, assessing the educational and developmental needs of each child, and planning and implementing a curriculum that will enhance the development of the children in all areas. The Teacher is expected to conduct themselves in a professional, cooperative manner with parents, children, and colleagues. Will also demonstrate respect in our culturally diverse community and maintain a positive attitude. The Teacher will find joy in working with children, be interested in education as a career, have knowledge of project-based learning, and possess positive classroom management skills. Additional responsibilities include helping to maintain a beautiful classroom with documented learning visible throughout and collaborating with colleagues.

Bachelor's degree required; educational emphasis in early childhood education or infant and family development preferred. Must have a working knowledge of NYC Department of Health (DOH) regulations. Must have an understanding of child and adult development, strong verbal and written communication skills, interest in and knowledge of early childhood education curriculum, ability to work collaboratively with a team, good organizational and management skills, flexibility, and a sense of humor.
