Members to NAGC can receive three publications -- Parenting for Gifted Children, Teaching for High Potential, and the academic journal, Gifted Child Quarterly. All are available through the mail and online.
This is an academic year position, working 44 weeks per year.
Eliot-Pearson Children's School is a laboratory demonstration school for the Department of Child Development at Tufts University. The school enrolls approximately 66 children ages 3-7.
The Head Teacher's responsibilities include providing a dynamic, developmental, inclusive program for multi- age PreK-Kindergarten children, curriculum planning, instruction and assessment of children, working with families, therapists, team-teaching and supervising University undergraduate and graduate students.
Knowledge and experience typically acquired by:
3 years' experience with teaching children, including those with special needs.
Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
Skill in designing classroom environments and curriculum withi.n an inclusive setting; experience supervising University students.
An employee in this position must complete all appropriate background checks at the time of hire, promotion, or transfer.
