Position Information:Position Title:Assistant Teaching Professor - Agricultural and Life Sciences Teacher EducationAppointment Type:FacultyJob Description:Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:The Department of Agricultural Education and Studies in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Iowa State University seeks applicants for a 9-month, term, assistant teaching professor position. This position focuses on teacher education in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) through agricultural and life sciences education. The position is 95% teaching and advising and 5% service. Responsibilities will consist of teaching undergraduate courses (3-4 courses per semester) including agricultural mechanization skills and methods; advising undergraduates, supervising student interns; serving on departmental, college, and university committees; and advising a student organization. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated interest, ability, and innovation related to teaching agriculture and life sciences education.
