TU is accepting applications for a Substitute Teacher for a temporary assignment in an early childhood classroom in our University Child Care Center to provide support to teaching team and Center operations in the absence of a Lead Teacher.
Provide support to other lead teacher in classroom. Includes lesson implementation, student observation and assessment, and general classroom management. Interact with parents as appropriate. Maintain classroom management and supervise instruction of the students in accordance with outlined lessons and management approaches of the Lead Teacher.
High School Diploma.
One year of experience in an early childhood classroom.
90 + 9 Clock Hour certification in Child and Adolescent Development from MSDE or equivalent.
Must have thorough knowledge and be able to demonstrate an understanding of DAP and child development.
ADA certificate preferred.
CPR & First aid certification preferred.
A Criminal Background Investigation is required for the hired candidate, and the results may affect employment.
Salary and Benefits
$19.00 per hour. Contractual employees scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week may be eligible for subsidized health benefits coverage. The position is contingent on funds being available at time of hire. To learn more about our benefits, click here.
