Members to NAGC can receive three publications -- Parenting for Gifted Children, Teaching for High Potential, and the academic journal, Gifted Child Quarterly. All are available through the mail and online.
The Toddler Specialist is responsible for the daily management of the children and activities in their classroom in accordance with licensing and the Center's policies, practices, and procedures. Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities for children enrolled. Attend professional development as required, and participate in the unit's staff meetings.
High school diploma or GED with a CDA OR associate degree in Early Childhood Development.
21 years of age.
Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices for early childhood. Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information to children, parents, staff and the general public. Knowledge of state licensing regulations. Awareness and acceptance of cultural differences.
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Development or Elementary Education. One year or more of experience in a Licensed Childcare Facility.
Working Conditions / Demands
Lifting, bending, squatting, cleaning.
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without an accommodation.
