Members to NAGC can receive three publications -- Parenting for Gifted Children, Teaching for High Potential, and the academic journal, Gifted Child Quarterly. All are available through the mail and online.
Supervisor of Multiple Subject Teacher Education in General Education or Bilingual Education (Spanish)
For the 2020-2021 academic year, the School of Education may have a need for a temporary, part time supervisor for multiple subject candidates in its multiple subject teacher credential program. The supervisor is responsible for observing and providing feedback to candidates in fieldwork at elementary schools and attending professional development and faculty meetings. In 2020-2021, much of this work will occur through online platforms. Must have own transportation and be available to visit schools throughout Orange County to observe candidates during school day hours (if local health conditions allow). Most supervisor positions require a 2 or 3 consecutive quarter commitment.
Service Period Dates for 2020-2021 Academic Year: Fall Quarter: 9/28/20 - 12/18/20 Winter Quarter: 1/4/21 - 3/19/21 Spring Quarter: 3/24/21 - 6/11/21
Minimum Qualifications: California multiple subject teaching credential. Experience as a teacher or administrator in an elementary school. Relevant experience may be considered.
Desired Qualifications: A master's degree in education or relevant content area. Experience as a teacher or administrator in a dual language immersion program (Spanish/English). A bilingual authorization in Spanish. Experience mentoring or teaching pre-service teachers. Experience navigating online platforms and tools.
Annual full-time salaries will begin at a base rate of $56,381.
