Members to NAGC can receive three publications -- Parenting for Gifted Children, Teaching for High Potential, and the academic journal, Gifted Child Quarterly. All are available through the mail and online.
Child Study Center/Little Bucs is accepting applications for two (2), 10-month full-time temporary, Teacher 1 positions. Individuals in this position are responsible to the Director of ETSU Little Buccaneers for serving as major caregiver in assigned classroom; and performing other related duties as assigned. The teacher will implement evidence-based strategies, and a developmentally- and culturally- appropriate, child-centered curriculum, which encourages learning through exploration and discovery and promotes the development of a positive self-image. The teacher will utilize teaching strategies and assessment tools that support each child’s individualized learning goals, including goals that are outlined on an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) or Education Plan (IEP) and align with Tennessee Early Learning Development Standards (TN-ELDS). The teacher will model positive social interactions and language. The teacher will implement positive class management techniques and strategies. All practices the teacher uses must be consistent with guidelines put forth by ETSU and the Tennessee’s Department of Human Services.
Position is contingent upon sufficient funding.
