Los Angeles, California USC School for Early Childhood Education is seeking a Home Based Educator to join its team.
Job Summary: This position provides high quality, comprehensive, early childhood education and family and health support services to 12 Early Head Start families through home visits and bimonthly socialization times.Â The Home Based Educator will be responsible for delivering all Early Head Start direct services to each child using instructional strategies, and to each parent using adult education and case management strategies for family and health services.Â This Early Head Start home-based program options requires an individual who can work independently and make sound decisions. Assure completion of all program requirements and is familiar with and follows the Early Head Start Performance Standards and program policies.Â The position is grant funded and contingent on continued funding.
Hours/Salary: Full time, $20.52-$20.88/hour, position may require evening and/or weekends
Associate Degree or higher in Human Services, Child Development, Social Work, Education or other related fields.
Child Development Associate (CDA)
Early Head Start experience and experience working with infants and toddlers preferred.
Experience with in-home visits, preferred
Knowledge of Early Head Start Performance Standards.
CPR & First Aide Certificate (may be obtained after applying but before starting)
Physical Exam and TB Screening within last 12 Months
Live Scan Clearance from the Department of Justice (DOJ)
Proof of Influenza, Measles and Pertussis vaccinations or medical note with exemption
Must have a car, be able to drive, have a valid CA driverâs license, and current auto insurance
