Members to NAGC can receive three publications -- Parenting for Gifted Children, Teaching for High Potential, and the academic journal, Gifted Child Quarterly. All are available through the mail and online.
The Early Childhood Assistant Teacher works as a member of a teaching team with an Early Childhood Associate (Lead) Teacher in one of the Center's classrooms. The Early Childhood Assistant works cooperatively with the other classroom teachers to plan and implement a model early childhood program that supports inclusion and family involvement.
The Early Childhood Assistant acts as a model for classroom student aides and practicum students, teaching appropriate skills and techniques by example. The Assistant Teacher manages the classroom when the Associate (Lead) teacher is absent.
Successful completion of a background check
AA Degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education or a related field.
Prior experience working with a diverse population of children and families.
Experience in a college/university laboratory early childhood program.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
