Members to NAGC can receive three publications -- Parenting for Gifted Children, Teaching for High Potential, and the academic journal, Gifted Child Quarterly. All are available through the mail and online.
Your contribution to NAGC supports various programs that advance the needs of gifted children. You can contribute to the area of greatest need or to a single program.
Michigan Medicine’s C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital School Program is seeking a full time (40 hrs/wk) Certified Teacher for a 12-month Fellowship to provide educational support and direct instruction for hospitalized patients at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital. The Fellow will engage with patients and families significantly impacted by chronic illness. The age range of the potential patient population is birth through college, though there will be an emphasis on infants and the K-5 population. The Fellowship provides a unique opportunity to learn with and from hospital teachers and school liaisons as they serve children with chronic medical needs. The Fellowship is designed to provide qualified applicants the opportunity to advance their education through participation in program development and to provide direct instruction to patients admitted to the hospital.
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses. Job openings are posted for a minimum of seven calendar days. The review and selection process may begin as early as the eighth day after posting.
