Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):
Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Three (3) years of experience teaching in early childhood education (infant, toddler, preschool), to include one (1) year of early childhood classroom management and supervision, involving experience supervising staff and/or interns.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher) Education or a related field. Experience in a full day, early childhood, childcare setting.
Brief Description of Duties:
This is an early childhood team teaching position based in a multi-age grouping at Stony Brook Child Care Services, Inc (SBCCSI). The goal of the center is a practicum site for undergraduate interns who will be supervised and mentored by this staff person. The Preschool Lead Teacher is responsible for the overall coordination and functioning of the teaching team. The selected candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

Participates in administrative duties that involve scheduling, hiring, adapting curriculum, and monitoring the condition of the facility and availability of supplies.
