IU Campus Children’s Center seeks candidates for their Preschool Program to cover a 22 week leave of absence. Preschool Teachers work collaboratively with a Co-Teacher and are responsible for creating a warm and nurturing relationship with each child, designing an environment that stimulates curiosity, and utilizing a dynamic child-centered curriculum that is grounded in hands-on exploration and play. Using observation and assessment tools, the Preschool Teacher documents each child’s growth and learning in relation to his or her development and the Indiana Early Learning Foundations. The firm hours for this position are 9:30-5:30 Monday through Friday.
Must be at least 21 years of age. Formal education in early childhood education and center-based experience working with children ages 3-5 years required. Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
