About the Opportunity: Responsibilities: The Preschool Assistant Teacher will anticipate and respond to developmental needs of the childcare center children through knowledge of early childhood education. He/she will assist Lead Teachers in the development and implementation of appropriate and creative curriculum. The Preschool Assistant Teacher will nurture and support young children, maintain a physically and emotionally safe environment, and use positive child guidance techniques to facilitate development of children's conflict resolution skills. He/she will plan and put into practice developmentally appropriate curriculum considering differing abilities and learning styles. The Preschool Assistant Teacher will promote positive interpersonal working relationships with both staff and families and participate in constructive team approach to issues affecting the center.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Early Education or related field required. Minimum of 1 to 2 years of teaching experience in an early childhood setting and/or after school program. EEC Preschool Teacher certified required. Excellent communication (oral and written) skills. Punctual, responsible and organized.
