Members to NAGC can receive three publications -- Parenting for Gifted Children, Teaching for High Potential, and the academic journal, Gifted Child Quarterly. All are available through the mail and online.
Bachelor's degree and related experience; OR a combination of education and/or related experience totaling more than 4 years unless otherwise specified under supplemental required education and experience. Experience must be at a comparable level and directly related to the duties of this position.
Special Required Qualifications
CPR/AED Certification., State of Iowa Teaching License (Initial, Standard, or Master) in Early Childhood Education OR Early Childhood Education Special Education OR Elementary Education with an Early Childhood Education Endorsement (endorsement 100 and/or 103).
Experience working with children birth through age five in a group setting.
The Child Development Laboratory School located on the Iowa State University campus is seeking teachers for substitute early childhood teachers to work as needed. The responsibilities may include assessing childrenâs development, implementing curriculum to meet individual child needs, collaborating with other Lab School staff, communicating with parents, and supervising practicum students.
This is a pool posting for substitute early childhood teachers to fill in as needed in the Child Development Laboratory School. Substitutes are not eligible for benefits and are limited to 780 hours per fiscal year.
