Members to NAGC can receive three publications -- Parenting for Gifted Children, Teaching for High Potential, and the academic journal, Gifted Child Quarterly. All are available through the mail and online.
This part-time, non-tenure, adjunct lecturer position is a temporary appointment, hired per semester, and based upon student enrollment in the early childhood teacher education program.
Teach up to 9 credits (3 classes) per semester of undergraduate or graduate level courses.
Advise and mentor students.
Integrate the core values of respect, compassion, integrity, justice and service in all aspects of interaction.
Master's degree in Early Childhood Education is required; doctorate preferred.
Three years of P-3 teaching in the public and/or private school.
Demonstrated successful teaching experience at the college/university level.
Ability to teach in non-traditional formats and settings.
Experience using education software programs, such as Blackboard.
Competence in teaching with computers.
