This is a full-time position that follows the college's academic calendar. This position works with a team of staff to provide a quality program for children aged 3-5 years in a range of child services.
Implementation and evaluation of programs for children 3-5 years, including lesson plans and pre-kindergarten learning standards
Ensure compliance with center philosophy, licensing regulations and all policies and procedures of the GCCA
Plan and implement culturally appropriate and anti-bias quality programs
Promote team effectiveness
Provide a positive role model to co-workers, children, students and trainees
Attend staff meetings and trainings
Remain up to date on current issues within the Early Childhood field
Maintain confidentiality at all times
Other duties as assigned by the Center Director
Able to lift 50 pounds and move quickly within a child care setting
Associates Degree required in Early Childhood, Child Development or related field. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
A completed job application form, a minimum of three professional references, college transcripts, a physical exam (on the OCFS medical form), and all/any NYS/Federal background checks and fingerprints are required.
Must complete 30 hours of training every two years as per the Office of Children and Family Services, 15 hours required within the first six months after hire.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, sit on floor for periods of time, go out for multiple daily walks with children
