UCLA Lab School seeks passionate and dedicated teachers who can inspire and nurture a love of knowledge through inquiry and project-based learning. UCLA Lab School is an inclusive school where diversity and equity drive our mission and vision. We are currently seeking an iSTEAM demonstration teacher (bilingual Spanish preferred) for children ages 4-12 (the equivalent of Pre-Kindergarten through grade 6). Teachers at the UCLA Lab School are considered demonstration teachers, where they are expected to collaborate, engage in research and share their practices with others. Teaching involves innovation, creativity and passion. At UCLA Lab School the content is taught using an interdisciplinary approach, symbolized in the acronym, iSTEAM, and inquiry approach to teaching and integrating, science/social studies, technology, engineering, art, math/music. Such integration enhances the learning of all subjects and deepens students' connections with curriculum. The iSTEAM demonstration teacher will develop curriculum and create lessons across the grade levels, in collaboration with colleagues. A new iSTEAM lab will support the facilitation of making and tinkering in the classroom.
