Members to NAGC can receive three publications -- Parenting for Gifted Children, Teaching for High Potential, and the academic journal, Gifted Child Quarterly. All are available through the mail and online.
This position is a key member of our large team and as a member of the team is responsible for supporting the basic philosophy of Penn Children’s Center: ‘Learning through play’. The role is responsible for fostering the cognitive, social, emotional and physical development of each child. The successful applicant will be responsible to teach, guide and supervise children 12 weeks to 5 years in accordance with NAEYC, Keystone Stars and DHS guidelines. Assist teacher in developing, planning and carrying out daily activities and lesson plans. Arranges and maintains educational materials and equipment. Logs daily activities, keep records, prepares reports and communicates with parents on a daily basis as well as by monthly newsletter, timely e-mails and meetings when necessary. Required to maintain a Professional Development record and meet all training mandates. This position assumes all duties of classroom in the Lead Teacher’s absence.
