Job Description Summary
The Department of Biology at Wake Forest University invites applicants for a Teacher-Scholar Postdoctoral Fellow in Microbiology. We seek a teacher-scholar who is trained in a discipline within the microbiological sciences as broadly defined (viral, bacterial, archaeal, or microbial eukaryote), and who has a strong commitment to engaging students both in the classroom and through research mentorship at the undergraduate, MS, and PhD levels. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. and will teach a general microbiology course with a laboratory section while pursuing research under the guidance of a Biology Department faculty member. Experience with computational biology in the context of research and teaching is preferred but not required.
