Members to NAGC can receive three publications -- Parenting for Gifted Children, Teaching for High Potential, and the academic journal, Gifted Child Quarterly. All are available through the mail and online.
Your contribution to NAGC supports various programs that advance the needs of gifted children. You can contribute to the area of greatest need or to a single program.
Job Description: The Gladys W. and David H. Patton College of Education – Child Development Center at Ohio University invites applicants for a Master Teacher position. Candidates should have experience teaching children ages birth to 5 years old, as well as preferred experience working with professional interns (student teachers). The successful applicant will bring strong qualifications, be reliable and possess a positive attitude. We are looking for candidates that will contribute to these goals, bring a strong commitment to teaching, and will work with colleagues within the College and Child Development Center to improve education. Responsibilities: The Master Teachers have overall responsibility of the classroom and acts as a coordinator of activities and daily planning. Duties: humor Evaluation: The Director and Assistant Director evaluate the Master Teachers annually. These evaluations are written and discussed with each staff member. These evaluations are based on the professional development plan, parent feedback and can include classroom observations.
