Assistant Teacher Vice Chancellor of Human Resources-RC - United States-Pennsylvania - (18000026) The University Child Development Center is seeking a full-time Assistant Teacher. The Assistant Teacher position involves providing coverage in infant, toddler or preschool classrooms due to scheduled and unscheduled absences of Center staff. The incumbent will support the typical daily program in each classroom as scheduled, support the efforts of the head, associate, and assistant teachers, and may be required to supervise University students. They will also be required to communicate with parents, plan for daily activities, supervise indoor and outdoor play and excursions, and ensure the safety of each child under their direct supervision. Maintaining all state regulations and standards and national standards is required. The hours are 9:30-6:00 PM with the possibility of some earlier start times. Staff members are required to maintain 24 hours of professional development during their employment, complete required trainings, and attend in-service days at UCDC. Incumbent must have a High School Diploma or GED and a CDA Credential or higher, including 15 ECE credits. Experience with children birth through 5 years old is required, preferably in a center-based environment.
