Members to NAGC can receive three publications -- Parenting for Gifted Children, Teaching for High Potential, and the academic journal, Gifted Child Quarterly. All are available through the mail and online.
Full Time; Career Starting Salary Range: $51,100-$56,000/Annually. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Involves designing, conducting, supporting, and managing comprehensive education program for K-12 students. Creates a flexible program and environment supporting personal growth in accordance with each student's ability. Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced educator to resolve a wide range of K to 12 educational issues and needs assessments. Performs decision analysis and makes decisions of consequence to determine how best to provide individualized instruction to children with a wide range of learning needs. Demonstrates good judgment in application and interpretation of data, facts, procedures and policies. Receives general instructions and exercises judgment in selecting methods and techniques for classroom and instructional improvement. Uses full knowledge of course subject matter and program. Meets frequently with staff and parents. Demonstrates shared leadership with experienced teachers in achieving school's goals. The incumbent must hold a California single-subject credential that allows them to teach AP Calculus and AP Statistics.

Primary work location is UCSC Silicon Valley, 2505 Augustine Drive, Santa Clara, but this position is required to work remotely from a home office.
This position requires passing a pre-employment criminal history background check. Selected candidates cannot begin work until passing their background check. Please note: Time required to complete this process may vary and can be lengthy.
Some special conditions include: Must possess a current Clear cross-cultural, Language and Academic Development (CLAD) certification via California Teacher of English Learners (CTEL) or equivalent Certification
Must possess a valid Single Subject Math California Credential authorizing service in AP Calculus and AP Statistics
Must be able to work remotely from a home office.
Must be able to travel to the primary work location as needed
Bachelor's degree in related area
Student teaching internship or full-time teaching experience in Kindergarten through 12
Ability to teach AP Calculus and AP Statistics
Thorough knowledge of principles, theories, methods, techniques and strategies pertaining to teaching and instruction
Proven ability to select and utilize appropriate educational materials, supplies, equipment, technology and learning aids Selected candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment criminal history background check.
