Gifted and Talented Education Visiting Assistant Professor Position
Coordinate, supervise field experiences, and teach graduate courses in the blended Gifted and Talented Education program; teach additional undergraduate and graduate courses in the college's educator preparation program, per the candidate's area of expertise.

Earned doctorate in education, curriculum and instruction, educational psychology, or related field; evidence of scholarship related to gifted and talented education;
Candidates that are designated as ABD are encouraged to apply, provided the doctorate is completed no later than August 5, 2019;
Three years of K-12 teaching experience;
Three years of recent K-12 teaching experience of gifted and talented students; demonstrated effective experience teaching in higher education; familiarity with instructional technology integration in the classroom, including online delivery models;
Experience teaching gifted education at the college level; teacher preparation, curriculum theory, models of gifted education, equity issues in gifted education, as well as methods of teaching;
Demonstrated effective experience coordinating and promoting (e.g., recruitment and outreach) academic programs for gifted and talented students in K-12 and/or higher education settings;
Demonstrated effective experience supervising practicum and/or student teaching experiences for educators of gifted and talented students;
Evidence of potential for scholarly productivity;
