Members to NAGC can receive three publications -- Parenting for Gifted Children, Teaching for High Potential, and the academic journal, Gifted Child Quarterly. All are available through the mail and online.

VUMC Child Care offers early childhood care and education for the children of VUMC faculty, staff, and students. The child care program serves children age infants (6 weeks) to five years old. Our centers are licensed by the Tennessee Department of Human Services.
Assists in planning and implementing age appropriate curriculum and activities to nurture and stimulate all domains of childrenâs development in their care.
Provides a developmentally appropriate classroom environment that reflects the childrenâs learning and growth.
Performs on-going developmental evaluations of children as required by DHS and develop lesson plans and follow curriculum implementation that addresses the individual needs of each child.
Maintains ongoing, open communication with parents/ caregivers.
Implements and supports nutrition routines.
Provides attentive supervision of children: knows classroom enrollment, constantly scans classroom/playground to ensure safety, and closely monitors children by constantly taking attendance.
High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience) and Other : or 12 or more Early Childhood Education classes and 2 years relevant experience
Child care center based experience preferred

CURRICULUM PLANNING & DESIGN (FUNDAMENTAL AWARENESS): Curriculum Planning & Design refers to the courses of study offered by an organization, as well as a group of related courses, often in a special field of study.
