Members to NAGC can receive three publications -- Parenting for Gifted Children, Teaching for High Potential, and the academic journal, Gifted Child Quarterly. All are available through the mail and online.
Math Teacher- Part-time - High School: The Math Department is responsible for the math education of students in grades 6 - 12. The courses taught by the Math Department include Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, Discrete Math, Statistics, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus. Two levels of math classes, regular paced and accelerated, both of which are college preparatory, are offered. Math teachers report to their respective Principals and to the Math Department Chair. Teachers are expected to work collaboratively with other teachers in the Math Department, interact with their own faculty, with colleagues outside their faculty, with other professionals, with staff and administrators, with students, and with parents. All teachers are expected to perform in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and are expected to work the required 178 days or days as stipulated in that agreement. The anticipated start date for this position is 9/1/2017.
