The Temporary Teacher Assistant is responsible for:
Providing a safe, quality environment which appropriately meets the social, emotional, physical and cognitive needs of young children.
Helping to plan age appropriate activities and communicate with parents concerning their children's activities, health and well-being.
Assisting Administration, when appropriate, in the supervision and the general maintenance of all aspects of the classroom program.
To qualify you must have:
A high school level of educational development and three to six months of experience.
The analytical skills to gather and interpret data in situations in which the information or problems are relatively routine.
The ability to exchange information on factual matters, greet visitors, explain hospital policies, and/or relay messages to appropriate personnel.
Courtesy and tact when dealing with patients, visitors and/or hospital employees. More sensitive situations may be referred to others as appropriate.
Previous childcare experience (preferred).
